Movies in December 2017: Get ready for two Vietnamese blockbusters
Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Following the success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015), the third highest-grossing film of all time, Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the most anticipated blockbuster of the year. Starting right from the ending of the previous instalment, Rey joins Luke Skywalker on an adventure with Leia, Finn and Poe that unlocks mysteries of the Force and secrets of the past.
The film is about the life of Ba Tran, who lived in the Southern Vietnam in the 1940s. Being suffered from the strict rules of her husband’s family, she hatched a plot to become the mistress of the house. But as a result of that, Ba Tran herself became the cruel mother-in-law.
Murder on the Orient Express
Based on the novel by “the Queen of Crime” Agatha Christie, Murder on the Orient Express tells of thirteen stranded strangers and one man's race to solve the puzzle before the murderer strikes again on the lavish train.
The story follows Tam, a comic artist who finds out that he only has 2 weeks to live. Tam decides to undergo a head transplant. After the surgery, Tam has suddenly got superpower and mysterious memories. Worse than that, he keeps being chase by a criminal gang.
